Job Responsibility

  • Place Purchase Orders, follow up with suppliers, and assure parts are received on time and as per schedule
  • Administer portfolio activities related to invoices and po pricing issues
  • Maintain relationships with the suppliers in order to ensure customer satisfaction, while optimizing the quality, time cycle and costs for the organization
  • Monitor and confirm the delivery of parts to production in close collaboration with internal partner functions (Logistics – Line function)
  • Maintain Operational and Financial Key Performance Indicators
  • Interact with various multi-disciplinary teams (Logistics – Line, Programs, Finance, Production and Quality)
  • Apply and follow contractual terms with supplier
  • Negotiate and implement change management requests and secure the associated purchase order requirements

Requirements

  • Experience with SAP and BAAN an asset
  • Strong sense of ethics and customer focused
  • Excellent analytical, planning, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Bilingual (French and English spoken and written)

  • Handle non-conforming materials and ensure alignment with production schedules
  • Manage incoming shipments and ensure documentation complies with internal and external standards
  • Ensure engineering and manufacturing configurations (MAC PAC) are properly maintained
  • Propose short-term, lasting solutions to reduce discrepancies from the production plan and raise awareness among stakeholders
  • Participate in improvement initiatives to optimize procurement and supply chain processes
  • Support program and sourcing teams in reviews, negotiations, and commodity projects
