Job Description:

The Material Handler will receive and inspect incoming and outgoing materials; order and distribute materials. Maintain inventory of purchased and manufactured parts, materials, tools and ground support equipment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hanger positions)
  • Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform all work in a safe and timely manner
  • Receive / visually inspect all incoming and outgoing materials for physical damage (BAS Only)
  • Distribute parts, materials, tools, and ground support equipment with regard to aircraft delivery schedules. May assist in ordering parts if required (BAS only)
  • Verify and reconcile appropriate documentation on incoming and outgoing parts and materials
  • Maintain accurate inventory (via cycle counts, perpetual, work-in-progress) using computerized / manual systems to include purchased parts, manufactured parts, materials, tools, etc.
  • Assist in loading / unloading shipments
  • Transport and stock materials from one location to another as required throughout the facility
  • Provide verbal or written turnovers for oncoming shifts
  • Issue hand tools, machine tools, dies and / or rental equipment to authorized personnel
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 0 – 2 years’ experience in one of the following: Warehouse
  • Shipping / Receiving
  • Tool Crib
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Basic knowledge of SAP (or Syteline for Commercial)
  • Previous experience in the aviation industry
  • Previous experience in material handling
  • Previous Forklift qualified
  • Export shipping experience
  • Hazmat Certification

  • While packing Shipping Packer is responsible to audit part number, quality of part and quantity of each part packed
  • Package orders according to provided Customer labelling and packaging instructions ensuring the accuracy and consistency of orders packed
  • Work in an efficient manner to ensure the assigned schedule are meet on daily basis
  • Responsible to determine the size of the order and determine method of shipment ( small package/Courier or LTL shipment) and apply Country of Origin label if required
