Job Description:

Dexter is the premier manufacturer and supplier of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts, accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets has an opportunity for a Material Handler at our distribution facility located in Swift Current Saskatchewan. We operate in a team environment, with safety, efficiency, and customer service as our primary goals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in the receiving of general merchandise
  • Staying Organized & prioritizing pick tickets as this is a fast-paced environment with ongoing changes
  • Maintain a clean & tidy work area throughout the day
  • Practice safe work habits
  • Other Duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse experience of at least one year (asset)
  • Forklift operator's certificate (asset)
  • Physical stamina, manual dexterity and ability to lift loads up to 20kg
  • Team spirit, versatility, autonomy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends, as required

Nice to have:

  • Ability to communicate openly & work as part of a team
  • Ability to read and understand pick tickets
  • Ability to pick and package orders for shipping
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment, picking, and packing orders would be considered an asset
  • A current forklift license would be considered an asset
