Job Description:

Cannon Automotive, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Material Handler in our Windsor, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior Material Handling experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Job Responsibility:

  • Operates equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies required to move or reorganize storage
  • Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product for final distribution
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production schedule
  • Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area
  • Emptying scrap hoppers
  • Bin audits (dunnage audits). Verify that bins are in safe working conditions before use
  • Retain knowledge of proper packaging and shipping procedures so materials are shipped safely
  • Maintain equipment by regularly cleaning and inspecting it, repairs reported as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
