Job Description:

The Team Leader position is a key member of a manufacturing/warehouse operational team in a manner that promotes continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity and on-time delivery to our customer. The Team Leader works to achieve daily results, create a safe work environment, ensures product and material flow, confers with management, quality assurance, and engineering, drives new product launches, creates a visible workplace, and is process driven to standard work. The Team Leader is a hands on driver to inspire a team, creates opportunity to achieve success. The Material Handler II will be responsible for all material handling needs, primarily picking warehoused parts and delivering to assembly areas to ensure efficient production. Work closely with production lines to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand. The Material Handler will be required to achieve company standards for safety, quality, and productivity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Contacts are typically with the supervisor and other members of the team or immediate organization but may be outside of this to complete the assignment. May represent the team on projects and interface with business partners. Impacts of errors normally have implications requiring additional resources
  • Contributes to improving processes, lead times, through-put, and cost

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Must be effectively cross trained in multiple operations
  • Ability to use advanced troubleshooting within the materials environment
  • Ability to train other employees in established processes
  • Problem solving skills and interfacing with other departments
  • Strong communication skills
