The Team Leader position is a key member of a manufacturing/warehouse operational team in a manner that promotes continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity and on-time delivery to our customer. The Team Leader works to achieve daily results, create a safe work environment, ensures product and material flow, confers with management, quality assurance, and engineering, drives new product launches, creates a visible workplace, and is process driven to standard work. The Team Leader is a hands on driver to inspire a team, creates opportunity to achieve success. The Material Handler II will be responsible for all material handling needs, primarily picking warehoused parts and delivering to assembly areas to ensure efficient production. Work closely with production lines to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand. The Material Handler will be required to achieve company standards for safety, quality, and productivity.

Perform forklift daily inspections

Perform safe and effective operation of all equipment needed to perform job function
Practice safe working habits, following safety guidelines to operation and support of company initiatives
Know the basic functions of the ERP system
May assist in training of new employees or employees learning new work areas to work instructions/standard work
Actively understands and participates with the Drive to Zero program
Use judgment in resolving issues or recommending solutions
May participate in project teams or lead portions of projects
Has a thorough knowledge of the basic principles, practices and processes in the applicable discipline and has a working knowledge of related fields
Provides resolutions from basic to moderately complex problems. Exercises judgment within procedures and practices in selecting methods and techniques for arriving at solutions
Contacts are typically with the supervisor and other members of the team or immediate organization but may be outside of this to complete the assignment. May represent the team on projects and interface with business partners. Impacts of errors normally have implications requiring additional resources

Requirements:
1-2 years of experience
Must be effectively cross trained in multiple operations
Ability to use advanced troubleshooting within the materials environment
Ability to train other employees in established processes
Problem solving skills and interfacing with other departments
