Job Responsibility:

  • Move material to and from various points in the factory, using either counterbalance, reach or EK10 trucks
  • Collect empty boxes and consolidate
  • Ensure that manufacturing is serviced with all materials as and when required
  • Maintain a consistently high level of cleanliness and housekeeping in all logistics area
  • Operate picking buffer and kanban processes (both e-kanban and manual internal kanban)
  • Use of manual material handling equipment
  • pump trucks, battery- powered hand trucks
  • Use of forklift trucks and other material handling devices (from 5% to 80% of working time) inclusive of appropriate ancillary equipment (battery-changing devices etc).
  • Complies with all company policies, procedures and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Used to working in a high-volume automotive environment and work well under pressure
  • 2 years as a Forklift Driver/Material Handler in similar industry
  • Licence for reach, counterbalance, EK10 and pedestrian trucks
  • Good levels of literacy and numeracy skills are essential
  • Excellent communication skills
