Job Description:

The Material Handler - Outbound Mail Dock is responsible for ensuring that the outbound mail dock is maintained and managed to a daily schedule for all outbound mail trailers. This role works directly with Mail Dock Lead and reports direct to Outbound Mail Supervisor. This position is responsible for working directly with other mail material handlers and dock personnel. Upholds all mail system verification tools and ensures all mail loads are properly loaded and secure daily between shifts.

Job Responsibility:

  • Complete jobs, tasks, duties, and priorities to meet daily deadlines and goals
  • Supports team members on daily plans
  • Daily communication with Mail Lead verifying mail loads
  • Communication of Job specific issues or non-conforming mail
  • Escalate issues to Lead/Supervisor
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Order and restock supplies from inventory
  • Documents are filed and verified as required
  • Provide Lead/Supervisor with daily status
  • Communication with next shift – hand off
  • E-mail recycle swap requests as needed
  • Maintain an accident free and safe working environment
  • Wrap mail skids / Load and unload trucks / Load verifications

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience
  • Certified to operate a forklift or able to pass a forklift certification test
  • Must be available to work overtime as business needs require
  • Strong conflict / issue resolution skills
  • English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking required
  • Proficient with internet research and MS Office - Outlook, Word, and Excel

Nice to have:

Bilingual Spanish in reading, writing and speaking preferred
