Machine Operator/Material Handlers will operate and monitor packaging equipment in a production environment. The job requires use of a powered industrial truck, handling/lifting of materials up to 50lbs multiple times per shift, bending down, reaching for and placing of components. Additionally, employees are required to follow all safety rules, quality procedures and meet production numbers.
Job Responsibility:
Operate with a safety-first mindset
Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Ensure all quality standards are met
Operate equipment up to efficiency standards
Performing routine preventative maintenance and inspections on packaging equipment and or PITs
Maintain 5S standards
Operate powered industrial trucks
Maintain cross training on multiple pieces of equipment
Remaining up to date with safety, LMS, and ISO trainings
Manual operations may include putting corrugated board on packaging lines, handling bottles or cases, pouch/bags and cleaning of equipment
Employees will be trained and must utilize machine safety standards
Employees will be required to be engaged in additional safety programs
Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2-3 years in manufacturing, distribution, or warehousing setting
Experience working on a team to complete a common goal
Experience operating machinery on a line
Forklift experience
Handling/lifting of materials up to 50lbs multiple times per shift, bending down, the use of stairs, elevated platforms, ability to get on and off a powered industrial truck, and reaching for & placing of packaging components.
