Responsible for the accurate setup and delivery of materials to manufacturing lines, ensuring compliance with FIFO (First In, First Out) principles always. This role supports efficient production flow by maintaining proper material availability, preventing waste, and safeguarding product quality through strict adherence to established procedures, inventory controls, and manufacturing standards.
Job Responsibility:
Comply with all requirements outlined in applicable quality regulations
Keep the work area clean and always organized by following 6S principles
Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities aimed at reducing material waste in the manufacturing area
Ensure proper inventory handling and material availability to prevent production line shortages
Set up equipment and fixtures used for assembly and packaging of finished goods or sub‑assemblies
Comply with all established Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, requirements, and plans
Properly care for and maintain all tools, equipment, and supplies issued for task execution
Request materials from Manufacturing Staging and verify them against the Bill of Materials (BOM) upon receipt in the material transfer area
Record material usage in production records, either manually or electronically (POMS), following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Ensure timely delivery of materials to workstations while preventing material loss or waste
Place correct and properly identified materials at workstations according to applicable procedures (Material On Status must meet all SOP requirements)
Collect, count, weigh, and label processed materials for return, and place them in the designated area
Properly segregate and identify leftover materials from production runs and from cycle count activities
Apply basic ergonomic principles to minimize discomfort and prevent work‑related injuries
Maintain awareness of all risks and environmental aspects related to the work area and support the identification of new risks
Follow established work standards and incorporate guidance from Industrial Engineering to perform assigned tasks effectively
Ensure correct distribution of materials according to the failure modes defined in the PFMEA (applicable to personnel in the Renal area)
Understand the failure modes associated with assigned tasks and report any newly identified failure modes
Manage material usage in alignment with established scrap percentage targets
Provide support during material cycle counts, as required
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic PC proficiency, including the use of applications and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or material handling environment
Knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOM)
Knowledge of labeling requirements, including GTIN, UDI, and related identifiers
Knowledge or experience with POMS for electronic documentation
Knowledge or experience with MMSII for label printing
Ability to interpret and follow standard work instructions
Experience working with fixture systems used in manufacturing
