Requirements

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required
Minimum three (3) years’ experience operating heavy equipment such as Excavator, Loader, Skid Steer, or Material Handler
Demonstrated ability to identify and handle various metals and recyclable materials
Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to equipment condition and performance
Clean Driver’s Abstract demonstrating a record of safe and compliant driving
Strong safety-first mindset and adherence to all PPE and procedural requirements
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Physically fit to perform the duties of the role, including lifting heavy materials, climbing equipment, kneeling, twisting, and sitting for extended periods

Job Responsibility

Safely and proficiently operate various equipment including Excavator, Wheel Loader, Skid Steer, Forklift, and Material Handler to move, load, and process scrap metal and other recyclable materials
Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all heavy equipment
promptly document and report deficiencies to the Supervisor or designate
Inspect and clear equipment of debris, mud, and scrap materials that may accumulate in tracks, wheels, or attachments
Ensure yard organization, housekeeping, and cleanliness of both worksite and equipment are maintained at all times
Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn and maintained as required
Comply with all Acden Environment and client company safety procedures and policies
Meet operational and service standards as directed by the Supervisor or designate
