Job Description:

As the Material Engineering Manager, you will lead the technical and quality strategy work, ensure execution of material and innovation projects, and inspire and empower teams. The role also involves developing long-term material strategies and production techniques, managing recruitment, and contributing to sustainability efforts.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the development and deployment of new material and existing material directions and production processes
ensure execution of material and innovation projects
manage technical and quality strategy work
establish goals and priorities with the Engineering Leader
prioritize the portfolio in alignment with governance and needs
develop leadership and competence agenda
engage in recruitment, retention, and succession planning
contribute to cross-area innovation projects
manage and develop team capabilities
contribute to integration of engineering, material, and quality perspectives.

Requirements:

Experience from leading senior leaders and developing people from both a matrix and organizational perspective within a global organization
solid knowledge and senior experience in the field of purchasing (suppliers, materials, production flow, capacity planning and supply chain cost drivers) as well as customers
strong capability to identify and capture business opportunities and deliver excellent results
experience working on a strategic level, translating long-term priorities into clearly defined business objectives
embracing innovation and digitalization to develop long-term material strategies and production techniques.
