Performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities
Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility
Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations
or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty
The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions
This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines
Building and maintaining a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
Building and maintaining an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced
Utilizing analytical abilities to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of three (3) years of material/supply functions, either in the military services or in commercial applications
Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines
Ability to work in GSS-Army
Must have or be able to obtain licenses/certifications as needed to perform duties
Must have a valid and current state driver's license
Must be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle
May be required to obtain and maintain a forklift license
Must be able to complete paperwork associated with the position as required
Must be able to work in a fast paced, complex environment
Ability to work in a team environment
Must be able to read and understand Technical Manuals, Technical Bulletins, Army Regulations and Department of the Army Pamphlets
Ability to manipulate and use hand tools and hydraulic equipment
Must possess basic computer skills and have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Must have an ability to meet physical demands and pass any related medical examination requirements required to perform daily assigned tasks
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location
Passing a pre-employment drug screen and a government background check is required
Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check (NAC) within 60 days of hire
Must be available for any shift
Willing to work weekends and other hours as needed
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
