Job Description:

We are now looking for a student who wants to write their Master thesis at IKEA of Sweden from mid-January to June 2026. The assignment includes developing a methodology to test and simulate humidity effect on wood-based materials, performing tasks like extensive testing in a climate chamber, measurement using a digital image correlation system, and simulation modeling using measured data.

Job Responsibility:

Develop simulation material model for humidity to be used in Finite Element Analysis
arrange and present the test data, from DOE’s in order to make meaningful conclusions
create an end report written in English

Requirements:

Have a background in mechanical engineering
are curious and courageous to try new things
have strong skills in quantitative analysis and enjoy working with large data
enjoy working in an international and multi-disciplinary team
are fluent in English
