At Cytiva, we are continuously innovating chromatography solutions to meet the evolving needs of biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Bispecific antibodies (bsAbs) represent a promising class of next-generation therapeutics, but their complex structure introduces unique challenges in downstream processing. In particular, the capture step must efficiently remove product-related impurities such as half-antibodies and homodimers. Recent advancements in tailor-made affinity resins have shown improved purification outcomes compared to traditional resins. This thesis project will explore the performance of modern affinity resins in bsAb capture and assess their impact on overall process efficiency and sustainability.
