Job Description

Vertu Motors is offering a basic salary between £36,000 & £45,800 depending on skills and experience, based on a 40 hour working week and Saturdays paid as overtime with an additional over-performance bonus opportunity. Also offering a £2,500 sign on bonus plus a further £2,500 on month 13.

Job Responsibility

  • Carrying out diagnosis and undertaking servicing and repair work on customer vehicles
  • Using technical knowledge and skills to ensure efficient working with colleagues
  • Liaising with service advisors, customers and senior management to ensure excellent customer service and a professional approach
  • Assisting in the mentoring and development of apprentice technicians
  • Achieving first-time fixes

Requirements

  • A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
  • Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
  • MOT license preferred but not essential
  • Your own set of tools
  • A full UK driving licence

  • Carry out diagnostic testing on a wide range of company vehicles and equipment
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in mechanical and electrical diagnostics
  • Take ownership of technical campaigns and fleet checks within the depot
  • Report identified faults to the Technical and Systems Manager
  • Provide technical advice and support to the Engineering Manager
  • Support projects and trials on behalf of the Engineering Director and/or Technical Manager
