The Master Scheduler is responsible for owning and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and serving as the central integrator between demand planning, capacity planning, and production execution. This position ensures alignment between customer demand, operational capacity, and delivery commitments in a dynamic, high-mix manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibility:
Develop, maintain, and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) across products, programs, and production sites
Translate customer demand, forecasts, and internal priorities into feasible, capacity-constrained production schedules
Partner with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Procurement to align labor, machine, tooling, and material capacity with production plans
Monitor schedule performance, identify bottlenecks or capacity gaps, and recommend corrective actions to maintain delivery commitments
Support Sales, Program Management, and Leadership through schedule analysis, scenario planning, and continuous improvement of S&OP/S&OE processes and ERP/MES data integrity
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in production scheduling, master scheduling, or manufacturing planning within a complex manufacturing environment
Demonstrated experience developing and managing a Master Production Schedule (MPS)
Strong knowledge of capacity planning, constraint management, and production flow principles
Experience using ERP/MRP systems and scheduling tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Siemens, or similar platforms)
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets) and ability to perform scenario modeling and data-driven analysis
Nice to have:
Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, robotics, or other complex hardware manufacturing industries
Experience in high-growth or scaling manufacturing environments
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Theory of Constraints (TOC), or advanced planning and scheduling methodologies
Experience supporting multi-site or multi-program production environments and/or working knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar analytics tools
