The Master Thesis is focusing on hydraulic system parts which are highly pressure loaded components. To gain the full range of performance in terms of sizing it is mandatory to understand the behavior of the surface macro morphology and their corresponding fatigue life. The aim of the Master Thesis is to evaluate the effect of different surface morphologies of additive manufactured hydraulic pipes.
Job Responsibility
Analysis and characterization of AM Surfaces morphology
Definition and conduction of destructive tests
Analysis of expected fatigue life results
Test results assessment
Comparison of tested and calculated fatigue life results and their conclusion in terms of design allowable
Requirements
Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) in the area of Aircraft System Engineering, Hydro / Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or an equivalent field of study
First practical experience in the field of Hydro / Mechanical Systems is desirable
Fluent in English and German
