We are seeking a highly skilled Master Industrial Electrician to join our production plant facility. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all electrical systems supporting continuous plant operations for the site. The ideal candidate has experience with instrumentation, motors, and industrial automation systems, and thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Full-time hours, with on-call rotation for maintenance and occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled/necessary.
Job Responsibility:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components to minimize downtime and support production goals
Inspect and test electrical systems using multimeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure safe and proper operation
Troubleshoot and repair control systems including PLCs, VFDs, relay logic, sensors, and industrial automation networks
Maintain and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control documentation
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities according to the facility schedule
Lead or assist in electrical system upgrades, capital projects, and plant expansions
Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and facility safety standards
Provide electrical expertise and training to maintenance team members
Support reliability initiatives, including root-cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
Collaborate with engineers and operators to optimize equipment performance and process reliability
Requirements:
Valid Minnesota Master Electrician License required within 30 days of start date
Minimum 7 years of industrial electrical experience, preferably in food production, heavy industrial, or manufacturing environments
Proven experience with motor control centers, 480V systems, 3-phase power distribution, and control circuits
Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Emerson automation systems, VFDs, and HMI systems
Familiarity with SCADA systems and Ethernet/IP or Modbus communication networks
Nice to have:
Additional certifications in PLC programming, industrial automation, or instrumentation are a plus
