Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Master Data Specialist to support finance-related data operations for a Contract position based in Bloomington, Minnesota. This role focuses on maintaining supplier and customer records, supporting payment activities, and helping ensure accurate documentation and control across daily processes. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to manage high-volume tasks with precision in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Create and update supplier and customer master records with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Review and confirm supplier banking information to support secure and reliable payment activity
  • Execute recurring payment runs for assigned business areas using methods such as checks, cards, wires, and other approved channels
  • Maintain complete and timely records for operational activities, including documentation tied to internal controls and compliance requirements
  • Oversee Positive Pay activities to help protect payment integrity and reduce risk
  • Prepare and distribute annual tax-related forms, including 1099 and 1042 documents, and resolve B-Notice matters as needed
  • Develop, refine, and keep current standard operating procedures for processes within the data operations scope
  • Investigate operational issues, identify root causes, and deliver timely resolutions within assigned responsibilities
  • Provide additional support across finance processing activities as business needs require

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in master data, data entry, payment processing, or a related operational support role
  • Working knowledge of supplier and customer master data maintenance in a high-volume environment
  • Experience validating payment information and supporting payment verification processes
  • Familiarity with Positive Pay, credit card payment activity, and multiple payment methods such as checks and wires
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy while managing repetitive or time-sensitive tasks
  • Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work well across teams
  • Proficiency in documenting procedures and following established controls and process standards
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve data or payment-related issues
