Our client, a leading law firm in Baltimore County, seeks an experienced Mass Tort Paralegal to join their dynamic team. This is an opportunity to play a key role supporting attorneys working on complex, high-volume litigation focused on mass tort cases.
Job Responsibility:
Provide substantive legal support to attorneys on mass tort matters, including case development, discovery, and trial preparation
Manage and organize case files, medical records, and client documents for large groups of plaintiffs
Draft correspondence, shell pleadings, and discovery documents
Communicate with clients, co-counsel, and court staff to keep cases moving efficiently
Perform legal research, summarize depositions, and prepare detailed reports
Maintain databases and case management systems for high-volume litigation
Assist with filing and service of court documents and deadlines tracking
Requirements:
Minimum three years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on mass tort or complex litigation
Strong understanding of litigation processes and e-discovery
Proficiency with legal practice technology and case management software
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, e-file systems, and document management software
Familiarity with e-discovery platforms and the ability to manage large volumes of case data
Strong skills in reviewing, interpreting, and summarizing medical records, including use of medical and legal terminology
Excellent organizational abilities, time management, and multitasking skills
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail when handling sensitive matters
Minimum of 2–5 years of experience as a litigation or medical malpractice paralegal
Paralegal certification or associate’s degree

Knowledge of civil litigation processes, trial preparation, and case management software
