William Vaughan Company is helping in the search for a Masonry Estimator for a General Contractor based in Holland, OH. They are seeking a skilled individual to join their team. As the Masonry Estimator, you would be the leader in providing high-quality masonry solutions for commercial and residential construction projects. Our team values expertise, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. We are seeking a skilled Masonry Estimator who will also serve as a Project Manager and contribute to administrative operations within our Masonry Division.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for masonry projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs
  • Perform comprehensive take-offs for structural block and full masonry assemblies (stone, brick, block, reinforcing, flashing systems)
  • Oversee projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met
  • Manage project documentation, including submittals, purchase orders (POs), and RFIs
  • Support contract administration and compliance with project specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications to ensure all scope requirements are captured in estimates and construction
  • Develop and issue submittals for approval, tracking and expediting as necessary

Requirements:

  • Masonry background or experience in estimating masonry projects
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding construction blueprints and technical specifications
  • Experience with structural block take-offs and full masonry assemblies (stone, brick, block, reinforcing, flashings)
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities, including managing submittals and issuing POs
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred

Experience serving as a project manager on construction projects is highly desirable
