The Martini Bar Runner is responsible for the proper collection, handling, and storage of all food products associated with the department. This role also ensures the timely and safe transportation of food and related goods to designated event sites and location areas, maintaining quality, safety, and organizational standards throughout the process.
Job Responsibility:
Transports food to event functions and locations
set up and monitor assigned stations to ensure food is replenished
removes food from all events at the end of the event and transports to respective areas to break down and store per Manager’s directions
Monitors and maintains cleanliness of utensils, equipment and assigned work areas following sanitation standards
Cleans reach-in and walk-in coolers and walk-in freezers
Stores food items designated to the assigned station in accordance with standards of quality and quantity control as established by the Culinary Executives
Seeks to prevent the spoiling and contamination of food to ensure a reduction in wastage
Properly uses and handles kitchen equipment and small-wares
Works indoor and outdoor function locations and events as per client requests in adverse weather conditions
Participates in equipment training on all new equipment and knows how to assemble and disassemble them without damage
Must actively monitor the items being received
if items are missing, inform the Supervisor directly responsible for the department immediately
Requirements:
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Familiarity with hotel operations and local attractions
Professional appearance and demeanor
Previous experience in hospitality or guest services preferred
