Job Description

The Marketing Technology Architect is the marketing technology brain of TUI's performance organisation. This role ensures that advertising and marketing systems (CDP, feeds, tracking, GMP, Meta, Smartly, etc.) are effectively connected into internal data and product platforms like OneWeb and the App, while also aligning with local market workflows and campaign processes. It safeguards interoperability, drives innovation, and enables scaled, data-driven marketing across all markets. This role is highly technical and hands-on, focused on the connective tissue between platforms. It defines how tools interact at a system level and gives clear architectural recommendations on how new platforms and features should be integrated into the wider ecosystem.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and evolve the blueprint for marketing technology systems to enable seamless, cross-channel campaign execution across TUI
  • Ensure tools for paid media, tagging, analytics, feeds, and audience activation are well connected to each other and to core platforms like OneWeb and the TUI App
  • Build reusable infrastructure and integration logic that reduces friction in launching new campaigns or use cases
  • Scout and introduce AI tools or automation workflows that help markets increase campaign precision and reduce manual workload
  • Design infrastructure that respects local differences while aligning to shared standards and tooling
  • Anticipate regulatory and platform changes (e.g. cookies, API rules) and design future-safe integrations
  • Bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution by working across Marketing Ops, IT, Data, and local teams
  • Maintain central knowledge base and playbooks to support faster onboarding, rollout, and troubleshooting
  • Define and lead architectural approaches for new platform implementations and ensure alignment with internal systems, data flows, and campaign delivery goals
  • Be the go-to person for technical decisions and system-level design discussions, especially where platforms intersect

Requirements

  • Strong experience in marketing technology architecture, preferably in matrixed/global organisations
  • Knowledge of internal platform integration (OneWeb, App, DWHs) and how these feed into campaign delivery
  • Familiarity with APIs, server/client-side tracking, consent frameworks, cleanrooms, automation stacks
  • Technical mindset with strong systems thinking: you understand how platforms interact, where complexity hides, and how to simplify it without losing functionality
  • Experience bridging technical and business stakeholders
  • Ability to define scalable system architectures and produce high-quality technical documentation that informs implementation teams
  • Ability to document complex systems into easy-to-use reference guide
  • Comfortable working in cross-market, cross-functional project environments

What we offer

  • Attractive remuneration
  • bonus opportunity
  • exclusive travel perks & discounts
  • extensive health & wellbeing support
  • Flexible working: hybrid or remote working models
  • Access the TUI Tech Learning Hub to level-up and reach your ambitions
  • Participate in our tech communities and collaborate on global projects and teams
  • Get involved with incredible local charity and sustainability initiatives like the TUI Care Foundation and the Sustainable Tech Community
