The Marketing Specialist will develop and communicate messaging (digital and print) to support event programming, execution and additional needs to drive base business growth in the Collegiate Hospitality account. They will drive social media, marketing and communication strategies, by becoming a presence on the campus, developing dining program awareness and loyalty through multiple mediums and student engagement.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as Community Manager for campus dining, health and wellness, and sustainability by developing and executing social media and PR strategies that increase awareness, followers, and engagement among students, faculty, staff, and the local community. Partner with campus marketing to align messaging and maximize impact
Manage day-to-day social media and public relations efforts, including content creation, online advocacy, promotions, community outreach, and local media relationships. Act as a brand ambassador for the campus dining program
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to maintain and audit the dining website, ensuring accuracy of menus, videos, and written content
Translate subject-matter expertise into compelling storytelling that strengthens brand awareness and engagement
Support special events through planning, setup, breakdown, and timely posting of marketing collateral. Oversee the creation, accuracy, and distribution of all print and digital marketing materials
May manage student interns, including training, scheduling, daily execution of tabling events, and identifying additional student engagement opportunities
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in journalism, advertising, communications or marketing
Public relations, Marketing, Sales, Community Management experience, a plus
Exceptional knowledge and skills of all social media
Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary
Must be able to effectively communicate and understand directions
