We are looking for a Marketing Specialist, Social & Events to support our marketing team across organic social media and event execution. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, ideal for someone early in their marketing career who has a strong understanding of professional, B2B-focused social media and experience supporting in-person and hybrid events. The specialist will help build brand visibility with retail prospects and clients through organic social channels, primarily LinkedIn and Instagram, while also supporting the planning and delivery of marketing and industry events. The role works from established plans and direction, with opportunities to contribute ideas, test new platforms and improve execution over time. This role sits within the Marketing Team and reports to the Content & Communications Strategist.
Job Responsibility:
Support execution of the organic social media content plan across LinkedIn and Instagram, with a B2B and retail-focused audience in mind
Create content including copy, blog posts, static image posts, video content, live webinar events, etc.
Help grow brand awareness and follower presence among retail prospects and existing clients
Assist with publishing, scheduling and optimizing posts to support impressions, relevant followers, engagement and organic social traffic to the website
Contribute ideas for testing and expanding into additional social platforms not currently active, including suggested approaches and content formats (e.g Facebook, Reddit, TikTok)
Ensure all social activity aligns with brand voice, positioning and visual guidelines
Support planning and execution of industry events, both hosted and third-party
Assist with venue research and booking, vendor coordination, entertainment planning, swag sourcing and on-site logistics
Work with event organizers, partners and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution
Support event timelines, checklists and post-event follow-ups
Travel to selected events as needed to support on-site execution
Requirements:
2-4 years of experience in marketing, social media, events or a related role
Strong understanding of professional, B2B-focused social media, especially LinkedIn
Working knowledge of Instagram for brand and business audiences
Experience supporting or coordinating events, including logistics and vendor communication
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to take direction, work from briefs and execute efficiently
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across time zones
Must be open to working earlier hours when needed to support EMEA-based team members and events
Comfortable traveling for events as needed
Nice to have:
Experience working with B2B, SaaS, retail technology or data-driven companies
Familiarity with social scheduling and analytics tools
Experience supporting trade shows, conferences or client events
Basic understanding of content performance reporting
Experience supporting fast-paced marketing teams
