This position is open to candidates across Canada. For candidates based in Surrey, the role follows a hybrid work model. For the right candidate, a fully remote arrangement may also be considered. We’re looking for a Marketing Specialist, In-Store Marketing to help bring those everyday moments to life through impactful, customer-centric communication that drives awareness, traffic, and sales across our national network of stores. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, Shopper Marketing and In-Store Experience, you’ll lead the planning, development, and execution of in-store marketing programs and point-of-purchase (POP) campaigns across print and digital (Gulp Media Retail Network) touchpoints. This role is perfect for someone who’s detail-oriented, has a passion for levelling up on-site experiences, loves bringing fun to all customer interactions, a natural collaborator, thrives on deadlines, and is passionate about connecting with customers through clear, creative, and engaging retail messaging. You’ll work closely with internal teams and vendor partners to ensure campaigns are produced accurately, distributed on time, and executed flawlessly in-store.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and execute monthly in-store POP kits, signage programs to support national campaigns across all store locations
  • Execute marketing programs for new store openings, helping drive awareness and traffic through launch campaigns and community-focused initiatives
  • Partner with operations, marketing, and merchandising to develop and execute on-site events and activations
  • Lead the execution of national on-site food sampling programs
  • Manage and support in the launch of Canada’s Gulp Media program (retail media network), managing day-to-day operations and collaborating with agency partners
  • Execute shopper marketing programs and vendor-funded activations
  • Responsible for tracking performance of in-store programs and develop recap reports
  • Develop on-site customer journeys to inform on-site experience strategy and signage/digital experiences
  • Maintain POP inventory, order forms, and store communication tools
  • Lead test-and-learn initiatives for signage formats, digital displays, and fixture-based communication
  • Provide clear and timely updates to internal stakeholders and field teams

Requirements

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Retail Management, or a related field
  • 4+ of experience in marketing, retail marketing, shopper marketing, QSR, or production/project coordination (agency or in-house)
  • Experience in digitizing on-site experiences that delight customers, drive conversion and improve brand experience
  • Experience in building customer journeys and strategic skills to think outside-the-box to reimagine on-site experience
  • Proven skills in working with multiple stakeholders, vendors and internal and external vendors/agencies
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • A lover of all things customer-experience and willingness to challenge the status quo and build innovative experiences on-site
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • A collaborative approach and a proactive attitude

Nice to have

  • Experience in retail or QSR environments is a strong asset
  • Comfortable working within a Microsoft environment, project management tools (e.g., Workfront, Asana, Trello, Smartsheet)
