Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and organized Marketing & Proposal Specialist to join our marketing and business development team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and crafting compelling proposals that showcase our team's expertise, capabilities, and proposed project approach to prospective clients. This role requires a blend of research, organization, persuasive writing, and communication skills.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support company marketing efforts (e.g. social media, events support, internal marketing, copywriting, communications)
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to gather, organize, and edit both general and technical information and insights for proposal development
  • Draft, edit, and organize select portions of proposals, technical documents, 'sources sought' responses and other related materials with support from group managers, graphic design staff, and technical content experts
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to review and refine proposal content, incorporating feedback and revisions, as necessary
  • Manage proposal timelines, milestones, and deadlines to ensure timely submission of high-quality proposals
  • Support business development and marketing initiatives through various other avenues/tasks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, English, writing, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in architecture, engineering, and/or construction (AEC) proposal writing or a related role, preferably within the Alaska market
  • Ability to read and understand Request for Proposal (RFP) structure, scoring criteria, and response requirements
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to organize and format written content from multiple contributors into a singular unified proposal
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of teammates, from technical engineers to creative design staff
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
