We are seeking a Marketing Events Sr. Manager to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of high-impact marketing events that support Focal One’s commercial and brand objectives. This role will spearhead our tradeshow and event presence across major medical conferences in Urology and Gynecology, as well as regional and internal events. The Marketing Events Sr. Manager will manage a portfolio of national and regional trade shows, congresses, customer workshops, and internal meetings, ensuring flawless execution, regulatory compliance, budget discipline, and measurable ROI.
Job Responsibility:
Spearhead Focal One’s overall event and tradeshow strategy, aligning plans with marketing, sales, and business objectives
Develop and manage a comprehensive annual event calendar, including major medical congresses, trade shows, customer workshops, advisory boards, and internal meetings
Coordinate Focal One’s presence at major medical conferences in Urology and Gynecology, ensuring consistent brand representation and strategic impact
Provide detailed project management for all major events, including timelines, deliverables, risk management, and cross-functional coordination
Responsible for coordinating all logistics and selection of event venues, including hotels and restaurants
Lead end-to-end planning and on-site execution for large- and small-scale events
Manage exhibition space selection, booth option selection, and all related logistics
Collaborate closely with the Creative team on booth and exhibition design, production, and execution
Coordinate partners, suppliers, and vendors for material production, shipping, handling, installation, and dismantle
Oversee registration, travel, accommodations, speaker logistics, and on-site staff coordination
Negotiate and execute contracts with venues, exhibition organizers, agencies, and vendors
Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Clinical, and Executive teams to plan and execute impactful marketing events
Support the Sales team in the preparation and execution of successful customer-facing events, demos, and meetings
Interface with the Digital Media team to design and implement effective pre-event, on-site, and post-event communication plans
Ensure all events adhere to applicable regulatory, legal, and compliance guidelines, including HCP engagement rules
Align event messaging, demonstrations, and educational content with brand and product strategies
Own event budgets, forecasting, expense tracking, and reconciliation
Monitor all event-related expenses closely to ensure adherence to pre-defined budgets
Negotiate favorable terms and manage relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and agencies
Define success metrics for each event and measure ROI, including lead generation, engagement, and pipeline impact
Collect feedback from internal stakeholders and event attendees
Analyze results and implement continuous improvements to enhance future event performance
Assume additional duties as assigned to support broader marketing and business objectives.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience planning and managing marketing events, preferably in MedTech, medical devices, life sciences, or healthcare
Proven experience managing large-scale trade shows and complex, multi-stakeholder events
Strong project management, organizational, and planning skills with exceptional attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, changing timelines, and aggressive deadlines
Strong budget management, contract negotiation, and vendor management experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong networking ability
Commercial awareness and understanding of how events support sales and pipeline growth
Creativity in event execution, messaging, and attendee engagement

Hands-on experience with event audiovisual (AV) technology, including setup and coordination of sound, video, presentations, and live demonstrations in collaboration with AV vendors
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
Ability to travel 60-70% of the time
Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Able to push and pull pieces of equipment on wheels weighing up to 750 lbs.
