Our team is seeking an Events Assistant to support our client's events function in their Chicago office. This role is hybrid and will include hands-on tasks such as assembling branded materials (swag) and assisting with onsite event registration and logistics as needed.
Job Responsibility:
Provide administrative support for corporate and client events
Conduct research for event planning, including sourcing swag, venues, décor, and creative vendor ideas
Assist with menu planning and vendor coordination, with a focus on researching options
Enter event budgets and relevant data into internal systems
Organize digital files and folders for event management in SharePoint and Smartsheet, ensuring all documents are filed appropriately after each event
Prepare for events by assisting with onsite check-in, registration, and coordination
Requirements:
Previous administrative experience in a corporate, office, or similar environment
Eager to learn new skills, open to coaching, and able to take direction on assigned tasks
Some experience supporting events (may include volunteer, committee, or college activities)
Familiarity with event management software such as Cvent or Smartsheet
Experience organizing logistics or assisting with registration at events is highly valued
