This is a senior, hands on leadership role with full ownership of Hobeca’s marketing and brand agenda. The Marketing Director will lead and develop a high-performing team while remaining actively involved in execution. With a clear mandate to drive growth, margin and market expansion, this role will play a critical part in scaling house brands, entering new channels and expanding into offshore markets. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role offers genuine influence across the wider business.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, develop and inspire a marketing team, balancing strategic leadership with hands on delivery
Shape and execute Hobeca’s growth strategy in partnership with the Managing Director and Sales Director, delivering expansion across channels, categories and geographies
Take ownership of Hobeca’s house brands, including product development, positioning, pricing, distribution and commercial performance
Define category and product strategies grounded in strong market, customer and competitor insight, supported by a robust innovation pipeline
Deliver commercially focused marketing and communications, with a strong emphasis on digital channels, lead generation and sales enablement
Own pricing frameworks and margin discipline, and lead supplier selection and commercial negotiations aligned to business strategy
Manage the marketing budget, support internal and customer communications, and uphold strong Health & Safety and compliance standards
Requirements:
10+ years’ senior B2B product marketing experience, ideally within an importing, wholesaling or trade-focused environment
Proven experience working across trade, DIY and online channels, with a strong understanding of reseller and end-user dynamics
Demonstrated success in developing, launching and scaling house brands with clear commercial outcomes
Strong commercial acumen, including pricing strategy, margin management and data-driven decision making
Hands-on experience delivering digital and social marketing campaigns that drive sales growth and brand awareness
A strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into practical, executable plans
A proven people leader, experienced in building, coaching and developing high-performing teams
Strong customer and stakeholder management capability, with a track record of building trusted internal and external relationships
