The Marketing Director, Sports + Entertainment, acts as the marketing counterpart to the other function leaders in the region (RVP, VPO, RFD, HRD) in achieving region objectives. The leader is responsible for working with the region operations team to implement the regional marketing strategy, developed in collaboration with regional leadership, to meet the regional count and retention goals. Marketing directors are the ambassadors of our brands and articulate our value differential within the organization. The director also assists District Managers (DMs) and Food Service Directors (FSDs) in meeting client and organizational objectives at key 10-15 accounts identified in the annual regional marketing plan. They will travel as needed to provide on-site support in meeting business goals.
Job Responsibility
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with overall business objectives
Lead brand management efforts to ensure consistent messaging and positioning across all channels
Plan, launch, and optimize integrated marketing campaigns (digital, social, email, events, and traditional media)
Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive activity to inform strategy and decision-making
Establish, track, and report on KPIs to measure marketing performance and ROI
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, finance, and other internal stakeholders
Manage external agencies, vendors, and strategic partners
Oversee the marketing budget and ensure effective allocation of resources
Drive digital marketing initiatives including SEO/SEM, paid media, social media, and website optimization
Develop and execute demand generation and customer acquisition strategies
Optimize marketing funnels and customer journeys using data-driven insights
Oversee content strategy, including creation of compelling brand storytelling and thought leadership
Manage public relations, media outreach, and brand reputation
Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all communications
Utilize data analytics to inform decisions, conduct testing, and improve campaign performance
Present marketing performance, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership
Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue growth initiatives
Support product or service launches and go-to-market planning
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape
Requirements
B.A. and/or MBA, with 7+ years marketing experience
Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and Power Point
Influencing without formal authority – able to create an informal network to support program pilots, implementation and collection of best practices and measurement
Strategic agility – the ability to be the region marketing strategist and advisor to the RVP
Business analysis – ability to track, analyze, and present results from marketing program implementation
Project management – Multiple tasks will be managed at one time resulting in a need for strong time management and multi-tasking skills
Organizational savvy – Ability to speak to multiple levels within the region, representing a ‘big-picture’, business-oriented view of development
