Job Description

The Director of Marketing and Strategy is responsible for applying brand strategy to the marketing and growth processes within the Portfolio Group. This role will leverage insights and individual client understanding to deliver innovative marketing materials, enhance customer experiences, and achieve growth objectives. The Director serves as a critical liaison between Marketing, client teams, and various stakeholders, ensuring alignment with client needs and Aramark’s strategic goals.

Job Responsibility

  • Develops and implements comprehensive marketing strategies that align with Aramark’s objectives and client needs
  • Lead and develop a high performing team of marketing managers to drive growth, customer satisfaction and client satisfaction across the Portfolio Group
  • Communicates and builds the brands with key clients, prospects, and the marketplace, enhancing visibility and engagement
  • Crafts thought leadership messaging, case studies, and selling materials to support sales initiatives
  • Collaborates with the Portfolio Group team to ensure seamless execution of marketing programs across client locations
  • Supports collateral, presentations, and proposal templates that effectively communicate Aramark’s value proposition
  • Deploys consumer engagement tools and marketing programs at customer locations to enhance client satisfaction
  • Participates as a subject matter expert in key presentations and client meetings, including quarterly and annual business reviews
  • Travels across account locations as needed to ensure the implementation of account standards and marketing strategies
  • Directs the development of annual strategic marketing plans and ensures adherence to marketing calendars and deliverables
  • Develops and oversees communication processes and structures for marketing initiatives, delegating responsibilities as needed

Requirements

  • At least 8-10 years of progressive marketing and brand management experience, including B2B marketing
  • Proven experience in product innovation, merchandising, and consumer engagement strategies
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • MBA/master’s degree is strongly preferred
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and decision-making skills, with proven program execution capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment within a heavily matrixed organization
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, presentation, and influencing, with the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Creative and flexible in attitude and style, able to adapt to new situations in a dynamic environment
  • A self-starter who is confident, self-motivated, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
