We are seeking a Remote Marketing Data Analyst to support a Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) analytics initiative for our client. This role will focus on improving the quality, governance, and usability of marketing data used for campaign execution, reporting, and decision-making. The analyst will work closely with business and technical teams to profile datasets, validate data structures, identify data quality issues, and document business requirements, data definitions, and business rules. Strong SQL and Python skills are required, along with experience in data profiling, data quality techniques, and cross-functional collaboration. Experience with CRM/marketing data, Excel, Power BI, and enterprise data platforms such as Azure, Snowflake, or Microsoft Purview is an asset, with SFMC implementation experience considered a strong advantage.
Job Responsibility
Profile and analyze marketing and customer data in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)
Identify and resolve data quality issues affecting reporting, segmentation, and campaign execution
Document business requirements, data definitions, and business rules
Support data validation, testing, and issue resolution with technical teams
Work with stakeholders to align on data needs and reporting requirements
Contribute to data governance and reporting improvements across the SFMC environment
Requirements
Strong experience in data analysis and data profiling
Proficiency in SQL and Python
Knowledge of data quality and data governance practices
Experience documenting requirements, data definitions, and business rules
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Experience with Excel and Power BI
Candidates must be eligible for Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance (5+ years in Canada)
Nice to have
Familiarity with CRM/marketing data
SFMC experience is an asset
Exposure to enterprise data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Microsoft Purview) is an asset
