The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for writing, coordinating, and distributing high-quality communications content, including press releases, guest stories, and web content, that reflects the Mission’s impact and purpose. The Marketing Coordinator is part of the Development Team and will collaborate closely with the Communications Team and other departments throughout the Mission, supporting fundraising efforts and promoting awareness of the Mission’s work in the community.
Job Responsibility:
Writing, coordinating, and distributing high-quality communications content
Assist in the writing, proofreading, editing, and production of written content
Conduct interviews with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Transcribe interviews and collaborate with the Communications Team to develop content
Assist with desktop publishing projects utilizing Microsoft Word, Canva, and Adobe Photoshop
Support website content management
Perform administrative tasks such as typing, transcription, phone calls, and email correspondence
Serve as a liaison between the Communications Team and other departments
Provide additional support to the Communications Director and team
Serve as backup photographer as needed
Requirements:
Hold to the doctrine and constitution/by-laws of the Mission
Must be a regular attendee of a local church
Willing to sign and adhere to the Mission’s Statement of Faith
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to conduct thoughtful, respectful interviews with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Strong editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail
Working knowledge of content creation and production for nonprofit communications
Ability to support website content updates and manage digital content
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Professional, compassionate communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Minimum Education: High School Diploma
Valid driver’s license and use of personal car (mileage reimbursed) for travel within the Treasure Valley
Experience conducting interviews and developing written content for print or digital platforms preferred
Basic to intermediate proficiency with WordPress, Microsoft Word, Canva, and Adobe Creative tools
