Job Responsibility:

  • Define and own the regional marketing and content strategy, ensuring alignment with commercial goals, audience growth ambitions, and portfolio development plans
  • Act as the senior marketing voice on the regional leadership team, providing counsel on market positioning, brand strategy, competitive differentiation and customer insight
  • Establish and embed consistent marketing frameworks, planning disciplines and best practices across the Asia Pacific teams
  • Partner with the Commercial Director and Sale teams to translate business targets into effective marketing and communication strategies
  • Evaluate market and audience data to guide portfolio strategy, new event development and regional brand expansion
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor landscapes and digital innovations to continuously improve performance and identify new revenue opportunities
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all content and brand development across CloserStill’s Asia Pacific event portfolio
  • Line-manage and mentor the Conference Lead, ensuring the conference and content programmes reinforce event positioning, audience needs and regional commercial goals

  • Oversee high-level editorial direction and thought leadership positioning, while empowering the Conference Lead to manage the detailed content planning and speaker strategy
  • Champion quality, relevance and innovation in content and brand storytelling across all marketing touchpoints
  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships with associations, industry leaders and key opinion leaders to elevate the authority and reach of CloserStill’s event brands
  • Line-manage, coach and inspire direct reports across multiple teams to build leadership depth, marketing excellence and a strong succession pipeline

  • Partner with the global marketing and data teams to leverage shared insights, CRM tools and automation systems for greater efficiency and impact
  • Work with senior management on the development of new products, markets, and event concepts based on market intelligence and customer insights
  • Plan and propose the annual marketing budgets for all Asia Pacific events, presenting a clear business case for approval by the Board and senior leadership, and once approved, oversee and optimise spend to maximise ROI and support portfolio growth

Requirements:

  • A senior marketing leader with 10+ years in B2B event or media marketing, including 5+ years at a director or regional management level
  • Proven experience managing marketing leaders or multi-event portfolios in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Deep expertise in digital, multi-channel and data-driven marketing strategies
  • Strong strategic, commercial, and analytical mindset with the ability to link marketing performance to business outcomes
  • Skilled communicator and collaborator, comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Enthusiastic about developing people and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
  • Familiarity with Asia Pacific markets and a sensitivity to cultural and market differences across the region
