We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Category Planner to join our Retail Marketing team at Vertu. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work across some of the most exciting automotive brands in the world, including Land Rover, BMW, Nissan, Toyota, Hyundai and many more — part of a wider portfolio spanning 30 brands and over 200 dealerships. Working closely with the Head of Retail Marketing, you will help translate strategy into clear, structured, and executable marketing plans. You’ll coordinate cross‑functional activity across creative, CRM, digital, channels, and dealerships to ensure campaigns land on time, on brief, and within brand guidelines. We’re looking for someone naturally organised, proactive, and creative — an energetic, collaborative thinker who enjoys bringing campaigns to life in a fast‑paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Translate Category Lead strategies into clear, actionable campaign briefs with timelines, milestones, and cross‑functional dependencies
Build and maintain a full category marketing calendar covering launches, promotions, seasonal peaks, OEM windows and compliance deadlines
Manage and align manufacturer planners to ensure activities meet brand requirements and national marketing schedules
Confidently navigate manufacturer portals to source campaign materials, brand guidelines and assets
Support new car events and rollout calls, maintaining accurate milestones, risks, approvals and dependencies
Contribute to organic social content planning and delivery, ensuring alignment with brand and campaign activity
Create and manage UTMs and QR codes to track performance and support accurate reporting across channels
Coordinate and distribute POS materials to dealerships, ensuring high‑quality, compliant showroom presentation
Complete detailed evidence reporting across multiple brands, ensuring accuracy, timely submission and full compliance
Support experiential events across key franchises, ensuring smooth execution and brand consistency
Act as a key link between Retail Marketing and the Central Marketing team, supporting local partnerships, outdoor activations and regional initiatives
Assist the Central Outdoor Events team with logistics, including vehicle organisation and striping requirements
Requirements:
Previous experience in marketing is essential
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
Degree preferred but not essential
CIM qualification desirable
