Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Category Planner to join our Retail Marketing team at Vertu. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work across some of the most exciting automotive brands in the world, including Land Rover, BMW, Nissan, Toyota, Hyundai and many more — part of a wider portfolio spanning 30 brands and over 200 dealerships. Working closely with the Head of Retail Marketing, you will help translate strategy into clear, structured, and executable marketing plans. You’ll coordinate cross‑functional activity across creative, CRM, digital, channels, and dealerships to ensure campaigns land on time, on brief, and within brand guidelines. Job Responsibility:

  • Translate Category Lead strategies into clear, actionable campaign briefs with timelines, milestones, and cross‑functional dependencies
  • Build and maintain a full category marketing calendar covering launches, promotions, seasonal peaks, OEM windows and compliance deadlines
  • Manage and align manufacturer planners to ensure activities meet brand requirements and national marketing schedules
  • Confidently navigate manufacturer portals to source campaign materials, brand guidelines and assets
  • Support new car events and rollout calls, maintaining accurate milestones, risks, approvals and dependencies
  • Contribute to organic social content planning and delivery, ensuring alignment with brand and campaign activity
  • Create and manage UTMs and QR codes to track performance and support accurate reporting across channels
  • Coordinate and distribute POS materials to dealerships, ensuring high‑quality, compliant showroom presentation
  • Complete detailed evidence reporting across multiple brands, ensuring accuracy, timely submission and full compliance
  • Support experiential events across key franchises, ensuring smooth execution and brand consistency
  • Act as a key link between Retail Marketing and the Central Marketing team, supporting local partnerships, outdoor activations and regional initiatives
  • Assist the Central Outdoor Events team with logistics, including vehicle organisation and striping requirements

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in marketing is essential
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Degree preferred but not essential
  • CIM qualification desirable
What we offer:
  • 25 days holiday rising with length of service plus bank holidays
  • Access to our online rewards platform giving you cash back and discounts for multiple retailers
  • Preferential Service Rates
  • Colleague Purchase Scheme
  • Share Incentive Scheme
