The Marketing Automation Specialist supports the marketing team by building accurate, compliant, and timely audience segments for email campaigns and journeys within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This person ensures each campaign reaches the right audience through precise segmentation logic, list pulls, and data extension management. The ideal candidate enjoys working with marketing data, understands campaign workflows, and brings a mix of technical skill and marketing intuition.
Job Responsibility:
Build audience lists, data extensions, and segmentation criteria in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Support the creation, QA, and deployment of journeys using Journey Builder
Translate campaign briefs into executable audience definitions and segmentation rules
Maintain consistent naming conventions, documentation, and data hygiene practices
Conduct QA on segmentation logic, suppression rules, and personalization fields
Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements to audience logic
Collaborate closely with marketers, designers, and CRM partners to ensure accurate delivery of mass marketing campaigns
Troubleshoot issues with data availability, filters, and automation rules
Requirements:
1–3 years of experience in CRM marketing, marketing automation, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Hands-on experience with SFMC tools such as Email Studio, Journey Builder, and Audience Builder
Understanding of segmentation logic, subscriber data, and data extensions
