Randstad is proud to partner with a leading Local Government body to recruit an energetic Marketing and Promotions Officer. This role is pivotal in driving the visibility and community utilization of local Community Centres and Venues. You will join a values-driven department that prioritizes inclusion, progress, and community connection.
Job Responsibility
Plan and deliver all aspects of promotions for Council’s Community Centres and Venues, including advertising, direct marketing, publicity, e-marketing, and branding
Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies, production of promotional materials, and ongoing evaluation/reporting
Support engagement plans and activation activities designed to identify, grow, and diversify facility users and hirers
Promote facilities specifically to service providers and community groups to ensure maximum utilization
Develop content for digital and social media marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing databases, and EDM campaigns
Support the planning and distribution of research initiatives, including customer surveys and feedback forms
Facilitate the active engagement of facility users and the local community regarding venue services and programs
Work with internal teams and external suppliers to maximize venue positioning.
Requirements
A degree or diploma in Marketing (or a related discipline) or equivalent relevant work experience
High-level skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM tools, and ticketing systems like Eventbrite
Proven ability to communicate clearly with a broad range of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
Demonstrated ability to manage time, set priorities, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal direction
Demonstrated experience in developing online communications, social media profiles, and print media within a business or government environment
A current Victorian Driver’s Licence and a valid Working with Children Check.
