Job Description

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is seeking a proactive and creative Multimedia & Communications Specialist to serve as the unified voice of our brand. In this dynamic role, you will go beyond social media; you will be a storyteller for our community. You will collaborate with the Marketing Director to produce high-quality content that spans the entire media spectrum, from digital video to print publications and magazines. Your mission is to craft compelling narratives tailored for our vital audiences: consumers, businesses, and the internal team.

Job Responsibility

  • Conceptualize, shoot, and edit engaging video content for Reels, TikTok, YouTube, and website features
  • Design on-brand graphics and marketing materials for digital campaigns, newsletters, and brochures
  • Visit businesses on-site to capture “behind-the-scenes” content, testimonials, and success stories
  • Execute a local and association content guide across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Monitor analytics to refine strategy, respond to community comments, and grow our digital footprint
  • Design and curate compelling B2B and B2C email newsletters
  • Act as a representative of the BBB during business visits, networking events, and community gatherings
  • Draft clear, professional communications for internal team updates and external stakeholder announcements
  • Work closely with the Marketing Director to align all content with broader BBB goals, campaigns, and consumer education initiatives

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator) or Canva Pro
  • Proficiency in social media scheduling platforms (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social)
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact, Mailchimp) is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of comfort meeting face-to-face with business owners
  • A minimum of a high school diploma, or equivalency, is required
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related field is preferred
  • 1-4 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, and video and print content production
  • Valid license, willing to travel within our 5-county service area (30-40%)
