Job Description:

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Job Responsibility:

Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
Develop high performance & low latency components to run Spark clusters
Interpreting functional requirements into design approaches those can be served through Big Data platform
Collaborate and partner with Global Teams based across different locations
Be able to propose best practices and standards
handover to the operations
Perform the testing of software prototypes and transfer to the operational team
Processing of data using Hive, Impala & HBASE
Performing analysis of large data sets and derive insight

Requirements:

10-14 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
Should be able to Design, Architect, and help Maintain Enterprise solutions on the big data platform
Should be able to lead systems implementations and detailed functional/technical system design
Leverage extensive knowledge of distributed systems, process flows and procedures to aid analyses and recommendations for solution offerings
Guide/Mentor/Assist in development of the proposed architectural solution
Develop automation for the setup and maintenance of the Big Data Platform
Lead performance tuning activities of the system
Lead the team in infrastructure setup phases
Need to take end-to-end ownership for solution components and bring in design best practices and tools
Should have at least 4 years of experience in architecting and designing big data solutions and overall experience of at least 12+ years
To be able to benchmark systems, analyze system bottlenecks and propose solutions to eliminate them
To be able to clearly articulate pros and cons of various technologies and platforms
To have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Work with business users, help them to understand Hadoop frameworks and how it works, establish the process to build advanced analytical models based on business context
Propose best practices/standards
Experience in Big data technologies like HDFS, Hive, HBASE, Apache Spark & Kafka
Knowledge on Data warehousing would be an added advantage
Comfortable working with large data volumes and be able to demonstrate a firm understanding of logical data structures and analysis techniques
Experience in building self-service platform agnostic data access APIs
Service oriented architecture, and data standards like JSON, Avro, Parquet
Agile/Scrum methodology experience is required
Hands on Java Spark development
Understanding of market risk or basic capital markets
