Job Description:

Lead market research and forecasting for a dynamic oncology portfolio in a leading pharmaceutical company in Tokyo. You will be at the forefront of market research and forecasting, shaping product development and marketing strategies for our growing oncology portfolio. You'll lead projects, develop accurate sales forecasts, and provide valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. Your work will directly impact the success of new and existing products within the company.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of sales forecasting models for existing and future oncology products
  • Manage market research projects, from planning and execution to analysis and insightful presentation of findings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, medical, etc.) to ensure alignment and the effective use of research
  • Synthesize complex data into actionable recommendations to inform strategic decisions
  • Contribute to competitive intelligence gathering and analysis
  • Identify and leverage key internal and external data sources to create robust forecasts

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in market research or forecasting within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Life Sciences)
  • Proven experience in utilizing various market research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and extract key insights
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally Power BI
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in the Oncology therapeutic area is highly desirable
  • Fluency in Japanese and business-level English is required
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical industry data sources (IQVIA, MDV, etc.) is a plus
