The Market Planner manages inventory at country or cluster level. MPs examine and mitigate supply exceptions at country level and drive communications between the commercial team, customer support, Quality, Network Planners, and fulfillment teams regarding gaps between inventory and customer demand especially in import markets. MPs work with Network Planners to mitigate short and medium-term supply and inventory issues and determine strategy for communicating gaps between inventory and customer demand to commercial team. In import scenarios, MPs manage fulfillment within country nodes, along with driving process optimization and continuous improvement ideas and projects.
Job Responsibility:
Manage inventory at country or cluster level
Examine and mitigate supply exceptions at country level
Drive communications between the commercial team, customer support, Quality, Network Planners, and fulfillment teams regarding gaps between inventory and customer demand especially in import markets
Work with Network Planners to mitigate short and medium-term supply and inventory issues and determine strategy for communicating gaps between inventory and customer demand to commercial team
In import scenarios, manage fulfillment within country nodes, along with driving process optimization and continuous improvement ideas and projects
Management of import or manufactured finish goods, equipment or spare parts through relationship with international and intercompany suppliers and other external entities
Develop and own the deployment plan and execution for the market
Analyze and report inventory variance within country being the accountable owner
Guarantee KPI´s accomplishment as inventory level, cash flow, service level, backorder, discard and Supply Chain expenses
Own the communication strategy to the commercial team for low coverage supply issues and back-order risks
Lead commercial meetings to review pipelines and manage country fulfillment
Order management to include, monitoring, tracking and expediting inbound POs as needed
Work with Network Planner, global logistics, transportation, and warehousing to find resolution to short term supply issues
Communicate with Network Planner and key stakeholders any required system parameter changes for cluster/country (lead times, safety stock, QA releases)
Support all activities for the market driven by change controls, import license registration, new product launches, product phase outs, etc.
Time will be spent understanding the product set-up, product registration, operation processes, and market demand
Identify and execute improvement projects looking for inventory levels optimization
Complete monthly reserve proposal, identify and communicate opportunities for discard avoidance and follow through the opportunities to ensure they are executed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required
1 to 3 years related experience in supply chain management - warehousing, distribution, logistics, transportation, customer service and/or inventory planning is required
