This is an exceptionally unique opportunity to join Baxter Healthcare Corporation's Supply Chain team as a Demand Planner. You will play a pivotal role in defining and supporting materials management, warehousing, and customer services processes for both new and existing business. Your expertise will help drive flawless execution of logistics operations, ensuring that our supply management and vendor interactions are streamlined and efficient. As a key player in New Product Introductions, you will actively contribute to the successful implementation of lean principles, driving efficiencies across the materials area.
Job Responsibility:
Accurately process supply management tasks
Support warehouse management
Monitor material availability and address exceptions
Liaise with logistics and customer service
Support NPI and lean initiatives
Maintain and report metrics
Collaborate with other departments and managers to resolve issues
Maintain regular communication with vendors to ensure flawless operations
Support internal and external customers and team members regarding issues
Provide proactive and informative feedback on supply chain interruptions
Continually work to improve quality, delivery, and costs through vendor quality programs
Review open requirements, monitor vendor performance, and expedite where necessary
Assure that problems relating to delivery and quality are promptly conveyed to the vendor and resolved
Analyse and adjust inventory levels to align with lead time changes
Monitor daily order activity and take appropriate action to ensure supply commitments are met
Update supplier forecasts (internal & external)
Verify orders and communicate requirements to suppliers
Undertake daily reconciliation of receipts with suppliers and ensure timely resolution of all receiving discrepancies
Support all activities for the market driven by change controls, import license registration, new product launches, product phase outs, etc.
Identify and complete improvement projects looking for inventory levels optimization
Complete monthly reserve proposal, identify and communicate opportunities for discard avoidance
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Strong analytical skills
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Confidence in dealing with colleagues at all levels and external vendors
Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
Demonstrated interpersonal flexibility and strong team skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and manage your own work effort
Demonstrated capability to make sound decisions and a track record of prioritizing results and maintaining high standards of quality
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Evidence of research and problem-solving skills
Proficient keyboard and computer skills, including excellent knowledge of Excel and MS Word, or equivalent spreadsheet and word processing applications
Knowledge of SAP or similar order management and processing systems
Numerate and accurate, particularly in relation to data entry, document processing, and data integrity
Flexibility around normal business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5:30 pm) as the business serves markets in various time zones
Required to travel to visit other sites and attend regional/international meetings
