We are on the hunt for a Market Manager to help build, grow and maintain a hotel portfolio in the Pacific region. A key member of the WebBeds team, building and harnessing our critical supplier relationships with our Hoteliers. As our supplier relationship manager, you will have responsibility to acquire and renew contracts with hotels offering great availability and price to distribute via our technology platform. Manage the hotel’s contract performance through working closely with the Sales and Operations teams.
Job Responsibility:
Negotiating and signing competitive or exclusive contracts that secure the best possible rates, conditions and inventory/allocation
Maximise performance and identify promotional opportunities
Develop and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure maximum benefit of all distribution channels
Manage all aspects of contract administration, performance and review to drive performance
Creation of monthly reports to reflect market trends, and products
Representation of WebBeds during regular business trips and trade fair attendance
Convert 3rd parties into direct business to gain more market on the specific territories
Introduce WebBeds to new suppliers
Promote the use of WebBeds extranet system among suppliers to encourage them to update directly any changes
Ensure Direct Connectivity rates are open and updated year-round
Build market intelligence from Sales feedback and 3rd parties system to take action on market demands
Support the Sales team for any request related to special rates, group trips, or special requests
Liaise with the Data Entry team for any queries related to contracts or system issues
Support the Operations team for any overbooking, for booking related issues or other queries
Analyse market data, recommend and implement action plan to increase market share in identified territories
Fully autonomous on established territory and work closely with the Regional Manager on new business development opportunities
Requirements:
Contracting experience gained with the hotel industry
Able to develop and maintain strong and trusting relationship with hoteliers
Educated to degree level of equivalent or equivalent professional qualification
A professional, confident and enthusiastic attitude
Comprehensive knowledge and experience of B2B, online travel/ecommerce/hotels as well as understanding of hotel revenue management
Demonstrated understanding of the hotel distribution landscape
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to influence, develop and promote stakeholder relationships
Availability to dedicate at least 20% of your time to business travel
Strong negotiation skills, commercial acumen, pro-active, dynamic, passionate, and a team player
Highly accurate with an excellent attention to detail
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Highly developed analytical skills, and proficient use of Microsoft office, especially Excel applications
