As the Market Lead for Poland, you will be responsible for leading the Grocery and Retail business, a key growth motor for Uber. This role requires a leader who can manage a complex scope across operations, commercial strategy, financial performance, and stakeholder management to unlock new opportunities in this dynamic market.

Job Responsibility

  • Set Direction in Motion: Own the Poland Retail & Grocery roadmap, making decisions on resource allocation and sequencing investments
  • Own the Outcome: Take full E2E P&L accountability for the Polish retail business
  • Build High-Performing Teams: Lead and coach the local team
  • Navigate Complexity: Influence the Central Ops and EMEA roadmap through stakeholder management
  • Solve for the Real World: Maintain operational resilience by navigating external variables
  • Lead Through Influence: Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to identify and secure 'must-win' merchants
  • Drive Clarity at Speed: Synthesize complex market inputs into actionable strategic narratives

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or a related field
  • Proven experience managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Direct experience owning business performance and P&L management
  • Fluent Polish & English

Nice to have

  • Prior experience managing operations or strategy within the Polish or European retail/tech ecosystem
  • A track record of thriving in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and navigating the unique operational nuances of an on-demand / marketplace tech ecosystem
  • High proficiency in data analysis with the ability to 'live in the dashboards' to identify underlying drivers of business performance
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex data and market trends to global stakeholders with clarity and conviction

Serve as a subject matter expert for one type of equipment and oversee everyday tasks and troubleshooting within their area of expertise.
