Job Description

10x Genomics is seeking a dynamic and execution-oriented leader to drive translational market development programs across biopharma and academia. Reporting to the VP of Translational Market Development, this role will translate high-level strategy into scalable initiatives that accelerate adoption of 10x’s single cell and spatial platforms in biomarker discovery, clinical research, and precision medicine. This role is responsible for operationalizing translational strategy; activating key accounts, building repeatable programs, enabling commercial teams, and ensuring measurable market impact. The ideal candidate blends scientific depth with program leadership and thrives in cross-functional, fast-moving environments.

Job Responsibility

  • Operationalize the translational market strategy defined by the VP across academic and biopharma segments
  • Develop and execute targeted initiatives that accelerate adoption of single cell and spatial workflows in translational applications
  • Drive pilot-to-platform conversion strategies within key accounts
  • Build scalable playbooks for translational engagement
  • Support and expand collaborations across top AMCs and biopharma R&D organizations
  • Partner with Sales to unlock high-value enterprise opportunities
  • Coordinate KOL engagement programs, advisory boards, and ecosystem partnerships
  • Ensure successful execution of translational partnerships from concept through measurable outcome
  • Support oversight of the internal Translational Services business
  • Drive prioritization, execution tracking, and impact measurement of service engagements
  • Ensure services function as a strategic entry point for downstream platform adoption
  • Track financial and strategic ROI across engagements
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management to translate field feedback into roadmap insights
  • Partner with Segment Marketing and Marketing Communications to develop messaging and content specific to translational audiences

  • Coordinate internally across R&D, Operations, and Corporate Development where translational initiatives require alignment

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in molecular biology, immunology, oncology, genomics, or related field
  • 6 years of experience in life sciences tools, translational research, or biopharma
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong understanding of biomarker discovery and translational workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution against strategic objectives
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have

  • Experience working with AMCs or biopharma translational teams
  • Familiarity with single cell, spatial, or NGS technologies
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level opportunities
