Silvus is seeking a Market Development Executive, U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) who will report to the Vice President of Strategic Growth on the Sales team. The successful individual in this role will serve as Silvus’ senior market-shaping leader across the Marine Corps enterprise. This role is responsible for influencing capability development, shaping requirements, and building durable advocacy for Silvus Technologies across Marine Corps modernization efforts. This position is not transactional sales. Instead, the MDE operates upstream of capture and sales - engaging senior Marine Corps stakeholders to ensure Silvus’ networking capabilities are understood, valued, and integrated into future naval operational concepts, experimentation, and acquisition strategies.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as Silvus’ senior representative to the U.S. Marine Corps, shaping demand across CD&I, MARCORSYSCOM, Fleet Marine Forces, and Marine Littoral Regiments
Influence Marine Corps capability development aligned with Force Design 2030, EABO, Stand-In Forces, and distributed C2
Position Silvus Technologies as mission-critical enablers for expeditionary C2 and resilient littoral communications
Shape alignment between Silvus capabilities and Marine Corps networking priorities
Engage early in experimentation, concept development, and requirements formation
Cultivate advocacy among senior Marines and operational units
Serve as the senior "market anchor" for the USMC portfolio, coordinating a team-based pursuit model across Business Development, DoD Account Sales, and OEM / Prime Sales
Become aligned and coordinate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Engineering, Product, Capture, Executive Leadership) to deliver unified messaging and pursuit strategy for priority programs
Partner with Motorola Solutions and MSI Government Affairs to synchronize advocacy and policy outreach
Ensure disciplined handoff of shaped opportunities
Provide continuous market insight into Silvus leadership - capturing trends in USMC network modernization, tactical communications, and EW/spectrum management
Identify and cultivate emerging opportunities for long-term revenue growth
Represent Silvus at USMC, DoD, and industry forums to promote thought leadership and build institutional advocacy for Silvus’ MN-MIMO waveform and Spectrum Dominance technology
Provide insight into Marine Corps planning cycles, experimentation, and acquisition pathways
Develop and execute the USMC Market Development Plan, defining shaping objectives, key relationships, and pursuit milestones in coordination with USMC Sales/BD stakeholders
Contribute to Silvus’ pipeline growth by ensuring multi-year program opportunities are identified and matured toward Business Development hand-off.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
A minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in strategic relationship management, account management, or government relations within the defense industry
Senior-level USMC or Marine Corps-supporting experience in modernization, C5ISR, tactical communications, or spectrum/EW applications
Pre-existing, established, and verifiable network of contacts across CD&I, MARCORSYSCOM, and MEFs
Exceptional executive-level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong strategic planning and "big picture" thinking
Ability to support downstream capture and sales, and operate with a high-level of autonomy and build trust as a credible advisor
Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 12 months of hire
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts
All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug testing.
Nice to have:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Extensive prior USMC service (e.g., former General Officer) OR extensive experience as a senior civilian (GS-15/SES equivalent) or defense industry executive
Experience with Force Design 2030, EABO, or expeditionary networking
Joint or coalition C2 experience
Track record of successfully shaping requirements for major DoD programs.
