Job Description:

Silvus is seeking a Market Development Executive (MDE), USSOCOM who will report to the Vice President of Strategic Growth on the Sales team. The successful individual in this role will serve as Silvus’ senior market-shaping leader across the Special Operations enterprise. This role is responsible for influencing capability requirements, building strategic relationships across SOF AT&L, PEO Digital Applications, PEO SOF Warrior, and USSOCOM Component Commands, and guiding long-term growth strategy aligned to SOF modernization priorities. This position is not transactional sales. Instead, this is a strategic influence role -focused on shaping demand and cultivating enduring advocacy for Silvus technologies - enabling downstream capture and sales success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leverage a senior-level network within USSOCOM and its Component Commands to shape requirements and sponsor Silvus capabilities within rapid fielding and modernization initiatives
  • Drive early visibility for Silvus in emerging SOF Programs of Record, Operational Imperatives, and rapid acquisition pathways
  • Position Silvus within SOF communications and EW concepts
  • Serve as the senior “market anchor” for USSOCOM, coordinating a team-based pursuit model
  • Align internal stakeholders to deliver unified messaging and pursuit strategy
  • Partner with Motorola Solutions and MSI Government Affairs to synchronize advocacy
  • Provide continuous market insight to Silvus leadership
  • Identify and cultivate emerging opportunities for long-term revenue growth
  • Represent Silvus at senior SOF, DoD, and industry forums
  • Develop and execute the USSOCOM Market Development Plan
  • Contribute to Silvus’ pipeline growth.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • A minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in strategic relationship management, account management, or government relations within the defense industry
  • Extensive prior USSOCOM or SOF Component Command service OR senior civilian/industry leadership experience directly supporting special operations mission sets
  • A pre-existing, established, and verifiable network of contacts within SOF AT&L, PEO organizations, and Component Commands
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic relationship management, account management, or government relations within the defense industry
  • Domain knowledge of SOF operational requirements, procurement pathways, and global mission sets
  • Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy and build trust as a credible advisor within the SOF community
  • Exceptional executive-level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong strategic planning and “big picture” thinking
  • Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 12 months of hire
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts
  • All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Track record of successfully shaping requirements for SOF rapid acquisition and operational fielding initiatives
  • Experience with tactical communications, unmanned systems, EW, or low-SWaP edge networking technologies relevant to SOF
  • Track record of successfully shaping requirements for major DoD programs.
