Job Description

The Market Attendant provides prompt, friendly service to guests purchasing food, beverages, and retail items from Dellshire Resort’s Market & Coffee Shop. This role ensures that all grab-and-go offerings are well-stocked, fresh, and presented attractively while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The Market Attendant embodies Dellshire Resort’s standard of warm, genuine hospitality and contributes to the overall guest experience through attentive service and product knowledge.

Job Responsibility

  • Greet all guests warmly and provide efficient, courteous service
  • Prepare and serve coffee, beverages, and light food items as ordered
  • Operate the POS system accurately for all transactions, including cash handling and credit payments
  • Restock shelves, beverage coolers, and grab-and-go cases throughout the day
  • Ensure product displays are clean, organized, and aligned with resort presentation standards
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and expiration dates, removing or rotating products as necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of counters, equipment, and service areas
  • Assist with inventory counts and supply ordering as directed by the Supervisor
  • Handle guest inquiries regarding menu items, ingredients, and resort amenities
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Support the team with additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Previous customer service or retail/food service experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and composure
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills required
  • Familiarity with coffee preparation and grab-and-go service preferred
  • Must be at least 16 years of age (18+ preferred)
  • Food Handler Certification required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts including mornings, weekends, and holidays
