Job Description

As a pivotal member of a dedicated team of four transport specialists, you will oversee approximately 1,200 monthly transport movements. You coordinate complex bulk waste logistics via waterway, utilizing a proactive and solution-oriented methodology. This role demands a strategic balance between operational efficiency, legislative compliance, and continuous process innovation within an international framework.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and implement effective sea and inland shipping solutions for all commercial agreements
  • Ensure all maritime operations strictly adhere to environmental regulations, international legislation, and internal quality standards
  • Manage transport budgets, negotiate pricing for new and existing shipping routes, and ensure accurate, timely invoicing
  • Drive operational innovation by identifying opportunities to optimize and automate transport workflows
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with both internal departments and external partners
  • Manage the shared logistics mailbox and provide cross-functional support, including assisting with road transport and administrative deal preparation
  • Analyze and share business intelligence to enhance team performance, reporting directly to the Head of Transport

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience in an international transport environment
  • Specific expertise in maritime logistics and waste legislation
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Proactive communicator, comfortable using the telephone as primary tool
  • Strong ownership, out-of-the-box thinking style, and growth-oriented approach
  • Team player who remains composed under pressure, excellent planning skills
  • Fluency in Dutch and/or English required
  • Good command of French
  • Additional languages are a plus
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office
  • Experienced in navigating ERP systems
